2020年是新中建交30年周年，《联合早报》和华文媒体集团旗下英文电子杂志“思想中国”（ThinkChina）推出双语图片集《奠基人足迹：新中建交30年》。新加坡已故建国总理李光耀和中国已故领导人邓小平是当代新中关系的奠基人，谈及两国关系，不能不提起这两位领航者之间的交往。这本全彩双语图片集循着奠基人的足迹回溯两国友谊。
