Zafirah Idris, a former civil servant, is an entrepreneur with her own company, Printaparty.sg. She has written and illustrated a personalised picture book for her son.Ā Rubiah from SemarangĀ is her first published children's book series.
Carolynn YoeĀ grew up in Semarang, Indonesia, where she studied visual communication design before moving to Singapore with her husband. Although she studied graphic design, she is a self-taught illustrator. What a Scare! is her third picture book; she previously illustrated the first book in theĀ Rubiah from SemarangĀ series,Ā What a Mix-Up!, andĀ ABC Explore Singapore.
